I Love My Children
Another two instances of complete and utter marvelousness relating to my children:
- A short, concise, yet clearly gracious and grateful email basically saying “Thank You” for something that happened yesterday. I didn’t even expect a Thank You because it was something that was going to get done anyway, and not specifically for anyone’s benefit. I guess it was the completely unexpected nature of the Thank You that had such an impact. And i came from one of my children. Aaahhhhhhh, now try NOT to cry with that thought!
- Before heading to work today, I slowed down completely and sat down on our new couch in the living room. The next thing I know all three of us are chatting away about all sorts of things, no raised voices, everything calm, cool and collected and immensely enjoyable. Again, try NOT to cry at the thought of that scene!
I love my children.
I cherish the bond that I have with them.
I cherish the thought that my three children like me, and like being with me.
That it is me they are comfortable turning to for shared laughter, love and advice.
My heart is full and there is most definitely a contented smile on my face.
Time to get back to work!
